Heat gun and Goo Gone for any residue left behind. That's how I got rid of mine.

    BE Careful!!!!!!!
A lot of people doing this simple mod have experianced paint bubbling under the side molding. So make sure you know where you can get double sided tape so that you re attach the moldings if you experiance bubbling

    My Method

Fishing line, a Hair dryer (if you're in a cold climate) and your thumb

Heat up the molding with the hair dryer
Take the fishing line in a sawing motion underneath the molding

Once the moldings are off, they will leave a sticky tape residue, simply use your thumb and rub that off.

    DONE!

    1. Insert fingers under front edge.
    2. Pull
    3. Rub off nasty glue residue.

There are probably 200 threads here describing how to do this.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

I plan on leaving mine on, mainly to protect the doors against door dings.

The fishing line and Goo Gone worked best for me.That said I did mine on a hot summer day so the hair dryer will come in handy if your in a colder area this time of year. (Heat gun can be a little to hot and less forgiving if you hold it in one spot to long)

I was a little unsure about doing it at first. But once I did it I'd never go back.If your worried about door dings go to a dealer and order the Charger moldings and have them painted to match your car. They are a lot thinner than our stock ones and from a distance you can hardly see them. My 2 cents!

Someone even just posted a video about this a few weeks ago. Can't find it now, that sucks... it's here somewhere. Start at one end and either just pry slowly or use fishing line or a plastic putty knife w/ a rag over it to work it from one end to the other. Once it's off, goo gone will take the glue residue off. If you have an early build, know that there is a chance that the paint may not be pristine under there...

Dude is asking how to take them off. Not our opinions on whether he should take them off or not.

Again, really, no fishing line, not dental floss, no scrapers. All I did was put my fingers under the front edge which is raise, and pull. That's it. It is not hard.
