    Shifter Mod

I was recently fortunate enough to win a gift certificate to Billet Technology so I used it to get a new T-handle shifter. I then went to Pep Boys and bought a shift boot. What do you think? The only problem is that I have to figure out a way to keep the silver plate from popping up. Right now I have some paper wedged in there until I can figure out a perminant fix.

back when I used to make shift boots, I had cut small slits into the edge of the boot to slip around the notches of the silver bezel.. however, mine went over top of the bezel, not underneath it... (ignore the shininess of the pleather, it was a prototype)

The under side would look something like this:

Don't know if this helps you with any ideas on how to keep it in place.
