    RT Instrument Cluster Question

I have an 05 Mag RT. I was talking it up on the custom magnum forums, but about a week ago my speedometer stopped working. Ran the cluster self diagnostic and it didn't reset. Took it to the dealer today and they said they got a code saying there was a malfunction with the whole cluster and it would need to be replaced. So I'm taking this opportunity to check on an SRT8 Cluster. I know there are a few guys who have done the swap on RT Mags, but I just need to check to see if the later model Charger/Mag clusters will work with the 05. Any help would be appreciated

if your build date is after 08/05 then yes.

if before 08-05 then no... sorry, you can use a 2005 SRT cluster, but not an 06 or 07

The build date is on the inside of the driver side door on the top right corner of the sticker correct? If so its 10/04 :(

yep, so like me the 2006/2007 Cluster won't work (i tried)...

2005 Cluster works, but is lacking many many goodies...

besides if your is warranty they are only gonna give you the exact same one.

If its posible could you put a cluster with the EVIC in a magnum that did not have it to begin with(i.e. install a EVIC cluster 06 or 07 in my 06 SXT)

This has been covered before, but to recap... Besides the EVIC cluster, you need the EVIC module/overhead console, the correct headliner harness (runs up the Right A-Pillar, harness is glued to headliner, you can buy a used one with at least EVIC and dis-assemble the harness for what you need) the EVIC switches for the steering wheel, and the harness that is inside the steering wheel that has the EVIC switch wiring, you also need to de-gause the roof over the EVIC module location (De-magnetize it for the compass). You should check the connector on the Right A-pillar on the dash side for the EVIC wires. If they're there, you should be able to do it.
