I Really Wanna Put The Cam On But I Dont Think Its Too Healthy To Do It Without Heads....
Get a hold of HHP or TByrne and talk through it. You can get packages that include heads, cam, PCM flash, and headers. Airhammer is the intake of choice. Do longtubes instead of shorties and separate high-flows if you budget allows it. Torque converter, drag radials, and a limited slip rear are also good investments for getting the new power to the ground. You can put a 100 shot of dope on the car for well under $1k too, but all-motor is the "safer" approach. ASM supercharger kit has a warranty if you're considering getting one.

First things first:
Get a fan mod (I use the GSM one) and a 176 tstat. That is THE cheapest mod for instant hp. It is not an increase rather it is keeping you from losing hp to heatsoak. On the Jeep I ran 3/10 quicker in the 1/4 just by lowering the temp by 30 degrees.
Next: High Flow Cats. Easy bolt on, cheap, instant added hp.
Next a CAI that relocates the AIT sensor further away from the hot engine.
Depending on how much $ you want to spend go on from there!

I think there are some threads around here reporting the ASM system runs slower than stock. Something with really conservative tuning that keeps the cars super rich regarding fuel.

I dont think we have the tuning capabilities to take full advantage of a supercharger. Id go heads cam route, you have some big money, stroker motors
