    Question R/T Mirror Replacement

With the 2005 Mag R/T and the standard mirror, I think it's just too small and cheesy. I know the options are the electronic tint one and the U-connect one. But I really just want a better, bigger mirror. The side views are huge, and then a shrimpy rear view. Any good suggestions for a replacement? I'm not looking for skulls or anything like that, nor do I want to spend hundreds of dollars for one.

I agree that the mirror seems small but I figured with the rear window being so small, a larger rear view mirror would just show me more of the cargo area.

I just went into the garage and looked out the mirror. You're right. It does cover the whole rear window. I think I'm just used to my old car/mirror. But, the rear tint (dark) also affects the visibility. I'd love to have a rear mini camera that shows the image where the mirror is (as a replacement). I just feel like there's allot of blind spots on the car.
I'm definitely going to add a small wedge blind spot mirror. I've had them on my past 2 cars, and they are a must have. You can buy them locally at most stores for around a buck:

This type has some potential too:

You can buy aftermarket back up cam kits for around $100. I know of one that mounts on your licence frame and all you see is a pinhole, and has like a 2" monitor you can put on dash, visor, console or whatever. You can wire it to be on all the time or wire to backup lites to work only in reverse.
BTW, all cams like home security ones, are 12v powered. You just normally use an ac adapter for home use. Had a friend with a Ferrari Testa Rossa that removed the outside mirrors and put tiny bullet cams on the insides of both ' A ' pillars. Mounted 2 small monitors on drivers visor.

Well, as I said earlier, my critique of the rear view mirror was probably jaded my my inexperience with it and the unfair comparison to my Bonneville. I get used to it more and more each day. Some of those "wide angle" mirrors in the second link of my above post would never fit on the Magnum mirror as a clip on. There is little room above the mirror. So, I'm content to make the current mirror work, and I added my wedge blind spot mirror to the side view. Love your signature pic RogerDodger!
