Painted roof rails

Well I just got finished looking at Avon's selection of painted goodies for Magnums, and was wondering if anyone has painted their roof rack & rails. I was thinking of getting a painted spoiler, but i'm thinking it will look funny with the black rack.

Any thoughts?

Someone has, but I cannot recall who did it. I do remember it was red and I thought about it for a while but did not care for the look...

I was looking at mine yesterday while installing my other stuff. I am considering talking to Ernie about painting each end where the rails mount, but not the side-rails themselves. My cross bars are off unless I'm using the rack. I think putting them on, removing them and sliding them back and forth would scratch any paint on the side-rails.

Can you paint those black plastic strips that run the length of the car (both sides) where the rain gutter is?

Yes, they are painted on the 300s.

don't bother painting the rails... the paint that comes on them gets f'd up already
