    oil change today/recall/but no wipers?

Brought my Mag in for its oil change and recall of D50?? I mentioned the 2nd speed wiper problem and how I read it should have the wiper stalk replaced. Ya think any one would listen? I stayed there for 1 hour for them to say nothing was wrong with the wiper. I went outside, showed the manager the problem, another hour wait, and.....they have to order the wiper stalk. DUH!
When its ready, they will call me, and, wow, another hour wait!

Unless he's pretty fast the repair wait will be more then an hour if I remember correctly, because they have to remove the stearing wheel for this job.

Now be patient and thankful they didn't give you a hard time about the replacement and warranty. My dealer had to order the part also, and it only took about 3 or 4 days for them to get the part. If you geta chance to see the part removed from the packing you can giggle about the bag containing the stalk is covered with MB stickers and part numbers.

Scarboroughtown Dodge/Jeep in Toronto (416) 298-7600 it took over a month for them to get the part in after 3 complaints and delivering a handful of pages off the forum. I was the one that started the thread. Do a search for "wipers have a mind of their own". It's a thing of beauty now.
Y'all know I got me a Magnum, why else would i be here?

I'm having the same problem convincing my dealer that there's a problem.

If anyone who reads these boards works for Dodge/DC, could you PLEASE get the ball rolling on a TSB for it?

Larry Hillis Dodge 573-785-5769 and ask for Duke in the service dept.

PS: We are 150 miles NW of Memphis, so probably a little far to come for repairs or warranty work. Maybe they can be contacted by your dealer, but I'm not sure how that kind of thing would go over with your dealer.

Got my wipers fixed today. Took exactly one hour! Working fine now, but of course, they claim I am the ONLY one with this problem. They never heard of it. Guess the only one in NJ???

glad you got her fixed. it's not that common a problem but there's only one known fix.

I have the problem intermitently. It'll be my luck that it will function perfectly at the dealer.

    Question

I'm not sure if I have this problem or not. What were the symtoms again?

Mine will sometimes work like the next to last position when it's on the second click.

When I told my dealer about the problem they never even checked, they just ordered the part and told me they would call me when it came in. Few days later they called and set up an appointment for me and replaced the puppy. The tech got a real laugh at the part being in a box marked MOPAR and then in a bag in the box with MB star and part numbers.
