Hello there magnum folks. This is my first posting hope it goes through OK. Just came from my local dealer today with four brand new wheels on my RT. After having spring oil change and service done two weeks ago. While I was there the Body Shop manager was looking at my '05 RT and noticed a few spots on my stock wheels where the clear coat was damaged due to prying of the center caps and he informed me that Dodge will replace all 4 wheels with brand new under warranty, and he wrote up a work order while I was there. Just picked her up today and I am impressed, I didn't even have to ask, beg or request these. So anybody out there with stock wheels that are looking like the clear coat is flaking and you still fall under the 3yr factory warranty check out your dealer. This guy gets a big round of applause from me, there are still some good ole' guys out there after all. Cleaned her up and took a couple of pics today. You guys have a great thing going here, I have watched and read a lot of topics and this is fantastic. Take care all.
Welcome, and happy first post! That is great news. Several folks have gotten new rims due to flaking or pitting.
I, on the other hand, could not get my dealer in Wisconsin to do it. All he kept saying was "they won't allow it, we're in Wisconsin" - insinuating (sp?) that Dodge would blame it on road salt. My 3/36 ran out quickly due to mileage racking up quickly, so I never had a chance to ask the dealer here in NC after moving.
That dealer in Wisconsin was a real pain about everything. I basically had to take the service bulletin with me for every issue I had, or they wouldn't make the repair.

My clear around the center cap flaked on all 4 wheels, they replaced them under warranty. All they had to do was take a pic, send it to Dodge and they approved it.
Mine were done one at a time during different service visits.
