New Magnum RT Owner with Questions

I picked up my new Magnum yesterday! I love it! I'll have pics soon, but a couple of questions, if I could...

There was a cargo net in one of the wells in the back, but there doesn't seem to be a place to attach it. Anyone else have this, and where does it go?

I picked up the Mopar front end cover, and read over the instructions. Any tips on installing the snap screws in the front fender well? The picture shows using a utility knife to cut the factory plastic attachments, but has anyone found a better way? There's not too much room to work there.

    Thanks!

Can't answer the Bra question, but as far as the cargo net (which I've never used, yet) there are 4 points it attaches to. Two on either side on the front side of the rear well covers and two along the rear lid on opposite sides of the trunk latch. They are small "D" shaped rings. If there not there then I'd be seeing my dealer.

    Hope that helps!

Welcome, nice car. We have the same model in Magnesium. I am sorry to say we have had it almost a year and have never attempted to attach the cargo net.

Thank you for the welcomes! It's so great to finally have the car.

Ah, so the cargo net is horizontal. I was thinking it would mount vertically as in a sedan's trunk.

I'll try to have pictures soon, once the weather allows the first wash and wax.

There should be little chrome D rings in the back for the net to connect to. As far as the bra goes use diagnal cutters if you have em, one slip with a utility knife and you will cut the wheel well cover. Also make absolutely sure that the parts that the bra touch are dry and dust free. Also never leave the bra on should it get wet, the results will be a cloudy apearence to the paint that will take a while to fade away.

First thing to do, is turn your wheels to the right while working on the drivers side, and do the opposite for the passenger side. That should give you more room. Now....to get the OEM black plugs out. If you have some dikes, slide them under the cap. "DON'T CUT THEM" but instead, use them to pry out the plugs. Needle nose could work also. Don't pry directly against the paint. Those plugs just pull straight out. Do what ever it takes. PM me if you have other issues. BTW....you do know that bras aren't meant to be left on for extended periods of time? Moisture is the biggest killer of the paint finish. Check out the address below. It proves my point!
    Now what have i done....

Congrats on your new Magnum, I recently got a new recently too!

Glad you asked those questions, because I was wondering too. My front end cover should be in tomorrow.

Thanks, Butweet. When you say "under the cap," do you mean between the fender well liner and the fender itself? Looking at it, the "cap" seems to be molded as part of the liner itself?

It's interesting to see who has what color Magnum. I really went back and forth for a while, before settling on Midnight Blue. The only other ones I've seen around here are Silver, Magnesium, and Black.

Thanks again for the welcomes. It's great to be part of a community that is so passionate about their rides! I hope to get to a meet-and-greet soon.

No....the black cap is the head of the plug. Not between the fender and liner, but between the liner and the plug itself. The three black plugs on each side, just need to be pulled straight out. The trick is getting underneath the head of the plug to yank em. That's where I find that using dikes helps to get under to pry them out.

Butweet, thanks for the info on the caps.

After prying for a little while, I ended up drilling them out! I used a 1/4" bit, and once the head broke off, the rest of the fastener would fall inside the fender. I got them out when the liner freed up enough to get my arm in there. All went well, though getting the front mask on is a feat of strength!
