My Magnum to be shipped next week

I ordered my Magnum the first week of February. First let me say that I have a parent that is an engineer for Dodge and that they get to lease 2 car direct FROM the company (you get unlimited miles, don't have to pay for insurance, and they pay for all maintaince and repairs). Anyways, when I got a chance to ORDER a replacement car for my Grand Cherokee, I saw that a magnum was an option. I jumped at the chance to ORDER one. I got a chance to ORDER what is called a "fast feedback" vehicle, which means that I am going to have my Magnum built before they build vehicles for the general public. I ordered a black Magnum R/T with every option except a roof rack. Anyways, I got an e-mail saying that my estimated ship date is April 7th. So hopefully I will have it late next week, or the week there after. I am so excited to be one of the first people to have a Magnum in my garage, and once I get it I will post some impressions, and hopefully get a chance to take some pictures for you guys.

Hopefully you can get some driving impressions of it up for us folks that have to wait!

Damn, you are one lucky SOG! Son of a gun! Ask your Parents if they would like to adopt me so I can Fast Feedback a Magnum also.

I pretty sure that my parents aren't looking to adopt any more kids. :lol: Anyways, I will definatly post some impressions on the Magnum when I get it. I got lucky because there is an age restriction on who can drive these vehicles, so it is the last car I can get FROM Chrysler then I am on my own

Ohh...so tempting. Since I've driven the 300, the Magnum's looks are growing on me more and more. Plus, seeing one in person (Richmond Auto Show) has really changed my mind about the "wagon" look.

I wonder what they'd give me on trade for my Dakota..... :twisted:

NOPE...............The latest I have heard is that it will be fall before the AWD becomes available. The way DC keeps things dragging I wouldn't be surprised if the AWD is a 2006 with HID lights. That's just MY thoughts......NOT the official word.

I continue to say this is the longest drawn out product launch I've ever seen for a mainstream line of cars. Exotic cars excluded (e.g. Corvette C6 is taking forever).

Given their financial situation, they needed to have these cars on the market 18-24 months ago. I expect the cool options like AWD, HIDs for the Magnum, SRT-8 models, and other goodies to trickle out slowly......very slowly.

I'm the one who started this thread and I kinda have a funny story to share. I was playing golf last friday and got paired up with 2 other guys at the course (I live in the Detroit area). Anyways one of the guys we played with was a man working for Chrysler as part of the 300/Magnum launch. I was talking to him about it because my Magnum was supposed to be shipped last wednesday. He was telling me that the 300 is going quite well but they are HAVING problems with the Magnum (I guess everyone that they built is being held in containment for some body fit problems). So as far as the Magnum goes, they are behind where they are supposed to be. I wouldn't expect to be seeing Magnums anytime soon. Anyways I will keep you guys posted since I am supposed to get my Magnum before any dealers do
