    "Missing" options, '05 R/T

Just curious what options I'm missing on my car. I got a heckuva deal on the thing (it was a leftover 2005 that I bought just three days ago; still brand new, 66 miles on it) so I'm not all that concerned about it, but just wondering what all else is out there (and what may be user-installable).

    My car:
    2005 Magnum R/T RWD
    Bright silver / slate leather
    Protection Group
    Cold Weather Group
    Electronics Convenience Group
    Trailer Tow Group
    Convenience Group II
    Power Sunroof
    Navigation
    Sirius
    U-Connect

I'm pretty sure the stuff I'm missing is:
roof rack (happier without it; we've got a Cummins for hauling big stuff)
    memory seats
    auto headlights
...and what do you have to do to get real gauges? I'm used to seeing oil pressure, a temp gauge with NUMBERS, and maybe a good ol' fashioned voltmeter. Also, there's a round boss engraved in the lower dash panel under the headlight control over the hood release, in front of the drivers left knee. Something optional that goes there? It looks odd...very odd.

Well....back out to play with the Nav system. It's got too damn many features for me to have it memorized in the 277 miles I've owned the car

    Lets see,
    Magnums have no memory seats.
There is no automatic lights but see this link to "make" them
    FREE Auto-Headlights (no parts needed)
The little circle is where the trunk realse is on the 300 (we share everything).
You could put in a gauge pod that goes on the drivers windo pillar with those gauges that you want

You look pretty well loaded with factory optoins.... Do the autoheadlight mods... it's a piece of cake...

Welcome to the forums... there are a ton of threads on aftermarket parts and installs... It's only a mater of time before the mod bug bites.

Auto headlights didn't begin making it in until the last run of 06's and then will be on the 07's. I did the mod and am very happy about it.

Memory seats are only on the 300's. They also get nifty courtesy lights under the doors to light up the ground as you exit the vehicle.

The big thing you did get with a new '05 is the 70/70 power train warranty. I hope you have many happy miles!

Exact same options I have, including the Cold Weather Group. I am patiently waiting for the opportunity to use the engine block heater here in Florida! Yes, the car was purchased from a Florida dealer who ordered it with the block heater.

It sounds like you have got a nice car. Can you enlighten us on the "deal" you got on it. I'm getting the upgrade bug, Thanks.

They have a standing discount on the '05s (they have 2 - see below) of $7500 off sticker, and you can probably get the "tent sale" discount of an additional $1k if you ask. All said and done, with taxes, tags, and added care warranty (takes powertrain and electronics up to rust thru timeframe/mileage) we walked out a little better than the advertised money. That was a combination of a) it was 2 model years old, b) we bought our truck there a year ago, c) I am friends with many staff members of the dealer, and d) my boss bought his SRT Grand Cherokee from them on my recommendation (first SRT in our region, actually). Currently they have (at least they did four days ago) a white '05 RT without nav or sirius, and a blue SXT that we didn't even look at. Not a slight against it, but we wanted the Hemi. Email me privately and I can get you the dealer website.

....and thanks for all the info on the options. I figured you could get memory seats on the Mag since my mother's 300C has 'em. Guess that's one of the "brand identity" options, eh? Nice thing about it, though - I don't have to feel bad because our car "came without" them. Our truck doesn't have 'em either, so it's not like we're used to it or anything. It'd just be nice - I'm 6'4" and she's 5'4"!

Must've been ... or Chrysler is back building them like they used to!

My 02/06 build 06 SRT did not have them. The 07 does (it's now part of package 1 - not standard).
    Cheers!
