    Miles compared to beatings

I love thrashing the mag anytime I can, Has any one ever broke anything? Besides the rear tires that is, I'm pushing 40,000 and just was wondering when to maybe take it a little more easy on the mag? Is thare any high milage mags that get beat on daily basis?

Power steering pumps, that's regular. Me, I got 40K on this thing and none of it has been easy. But then again, I wrench on her all the time.

At 84K miles no parts have failed, brakes were done at 70K and that's after tracking at Willow Springs and CA Speedway.

My Magnum gets a good WOT run at least once a day and maybe a drift or 2 just to keep me awake!

She might get soft if I take it too easy on her, these like to run and run hard!

Yeah to the tire thing! Gotta go with Magnum8r on this, I did the brakes at 75k after my ride on Mont Tremblant. I have had mine ditch plowing at 75 on cruise (sound asleep), on track at 125mph, pulling .88g on auto cross courses and it eats it up! 121k this week BTW.

    Exclamation So Far

    So far:

    Almost 77,000 miles.

Broke both motor mounts & chipped a tooth in the rear differential.

    Two power steering pumps.

    Two radiator fans.

One broken intake valve spring & bent pushrod.

    7 sets of tires.

Numerous sets of brake pads & rotors.

    Some custom sheet metal mods.

A couple of front air dam cameras.

Other than that, no, no parts failures, no problems.

I'm debating between the amsoil 70/140 or the royal purple. I wouldn't be ready to re-install my dif until Sunday. So I gonna do so some more research.

I'm happy to say I beat on my mag everyday and everynight.... Sometimes outta love, sometimes outta hate, but time and time again she pulls true to her nature and starts up the next day. I'm around the 80000mile mark.
Enjoy and drive it like it was meant to be driven.

    Stock catback, and stock drivetrain

48k is the recommendation but IMO it should be done sooner. I had mine changed out and replaced with 75-140 Mobile 1.

I get on mine pretty good every day. I've replaced the idler pulley, I've replaced the PCV valve (recommended) and had the front rotors machined once. At 52K miles I'm about to get 2 new rear tires, new front brake pads, rotors machined again and brake fluid changed out. Nothing else mechanical has had to be done.

It feels good to know that we can climb on these things and not have to worry about a tow bill!
