    Lx...... 4 Life!!

I don't know............. after reading so many posts about people leaving & selling their LX's, it kinda made me wonder...... Why?

I have been a GM guy most of my life. I need a wagon for work cause I don't like trucks or vans. After they stopped making the full size wagon I went to the Taurus. It was alright, somewhat stylish, functional, it worked for me.

Then I saw a commercial for the new Magnum. You know the one, the guy driving the red station wagon roaring past a sports car & when he pulls up beside the wagon he asks, "whadda you got in that thing?" They pan inside to show 2x4's & tools etc. When I saw that for the first time & turned to my wife & said, "That's my next car!"

A few months later I test drove the first one I saw & bought it on the spot! I LOVE this car. It's sporty, tough, comfortable, gutsy....... it's not my dad's wagon for sure!!

My wife loved it so much she wanted the 300. We bought a 300c. It's been 9 months or so since I got my car & it still makes me smile every time I get in it. My only regret with my car is that I was too cheap to get the RT.

I guess what I am trying to say is that these cars are great. To me, they are the best looking cars on the road & the most bang for the buck. I know that when my cars are paid off (or close to being paid off) I will absolutely, positively buy another one. LX's 4 life!

    Can I get an amen!

Amen! Amen! I was also a GM (Chevy) guy, but there is no what I can do without my Magnum. I think I will buy a new one from now until they quit making them.

Well. I can't say LX for life or anything.

LX for the meantime for sure. Nothing compares. Although I WILL have my LX for the foreseeable future.

LY in the future for me!

    Amen! I'm LOVIN' my Magnum!

It sounds kind of weird to say, but I have a connection with this car. My previous cars were... modes of transportation. A means of getting to work and the grocery store and wherever else I needed to go. It showed, as I tended to trash the interiors of them (stains from drink spills gone uncleaned, junk sitting in the back seat, etc).

My Magnum is the first car I've owned that I've kept pristine inside and out (except for this damnable road salt!) I actually enjoy the 1.5 hours of driving I do every day. The only thing that makes me sad is all the miles I'm putting on her so quickly! I put about 300-400 miles on her a week.

Also, she's the first AWD car I've owned, and let me say... in New York State, it's a god send. With the ESP, AWD, side curtain airbags, Braking Assist and 5 star crash test rating, I feel like I may actually survive my 20s in this car. I can make it through the winter alive and style in the summer. Damn I love it!

My Magnum has turned me into a car enthusiast, instead of just the guy who used to just buy a copy of Motor Trend every month and drool.

I had my eyes on the concept Impala SS, that had the MDS, RWD... I saw it at the LA car show in 2004 (I think), they never made it, they didn't have the guts to make a nice RWD muscle car 4 dr sedan, like they did in 94-96, so I had nothing on my mind, I was also thinking about the "pontiac" GTO/comodore, but back then it looked like nothing and I really wanted a 4dr with room to put stuff in it, then the 300/charger/magnum came along, changed everything, renewed my hope in cars, so I checked online, damn they had a V-8 350 RWD, ESP/TC, NAV, sirruius, on board computer...awesome, I knew what I wanted that day, back in 04, then I joined the forum to learn all I could about those cars, and I got mine used april 06, love it, won't sell it anytime soon, if ever, that's why I'm not afraid of modding it.
