    Let the modding begin!! Teaser

So I have started to check off the list of many mods for my new Magnum. I will post pictures when she is done. The list is the current stuff going on. It is not much, but it is a good start. My buddy Simon at Trader's automotive and Ted at Montage Motoring are doing the work.

    IN progress:
-Update stereo to Kenwood DDX512 DVD with Sirius, back up cam and video lock out hack.
    -10.5" NESA flip down monitor.
-Replace stock speakers with Kenwood/Infinity/Alpine (have decided yet)
-Sub that fits in the back wheel well pocket
    -Kenwood Amp
-Billet style 2 piece grille (Done)
-Carbon Fiber dash kit (basic kit from edash)
    -Carbon fiber exterior pillars (Done)
-Chrome interior door handle pull surrounds (done)
-CAI (K&N or AFE, haven't decided yet)
    -Billet door pins(locks)
    -Front window tint
-10" wide black rally stripes bumper to bumper
-Simple auto headlight switch mod (done)
    -Debadging back

These mods should all be done in a couple of weeks tops. I have family in for a funeral right now sadly so that takes priority. Plus that's the budget for now. I wanted to get the most bang for my buck right out of the gate. Plus I have brand new tires and have trouble justifying getting rid of those for a new set of wheels. 17's will suffice for now.

    Future Mods:
-Foose 20" Nitrous wheels in black with polished lip
    -Eibach lowering (Maybe)
-Exhaust (Single or double, internal argument at the moment)
    -Front spoiler/lip
-Shaker hood with working CAI (As soon as Danko makes one for my 3.5L!!)
    -HID with Halos
    -paddle shifters (maybe)
-Old school "T" style Hurst shift handle

LOL! You have no idea. My brother in law is in the after market car biz. His company does INSANE stuff, so I have been hooked for years. I am very lucky that the mods I am doing are on a Magnum as it is FAR cheaper then the car I had fully intended to have readied for SEMA with them for this year.

The original plan was to buy a Challenger SRT8 and have my brother in law convert it to a Cuda. The only problem was the wife. When she found out the cost of the car, the amount of gas the 6.1 ate at $4+ a gallon, the partial cost of the modding (most was comped) and the length of time I would not have said new car she freaking lost it. I have to say my wife does not put her foot down often but this was one of the cases. So I ended up getting the Magnum instead, but here is my underhanded sneaky ass fool proof plan. We have two cars, my Magnum and her Camry sport (yes, I know, shut up...there is no accounting for some people's taste). By the time the Camry is paid off in 2 years it will likely have over 100k on it, thus mandating a new car purchase (do you see where this is going?). Since I was not allowed to buy my Challenger now, I agreed to buy the wagon "begrudgingly". Now she does not recall how much I wanted the Magnum 3 years ago as I was being offered the same kind of SEMA treatment. So, when all is said and done in two years I fully plan on buying an SRT8 Challenger and then it will be converted to the Cuda. Even better, we will then own a very nicely modded Magnum and a very very sick Challenger, much to my wife's dismay (and probably to the dismay of my empty but very happy wallet)!

Nice list ya got there! the only thing I'd change is the Foose Nitros, I have a set of 22s, and the stainless lip will get beat up. There's no fixing it. go with a solid Nitro and powdercoat. Foose Nitros are a good looking wheel on Magnums!

I have thought about going a cheaper route and getting the American Racing Torque Thrust in black with polished for just that reason. But I can get a pretty sick deal on the Foose wheels, so I am torn. I really love the black and polished look though. So I am not sure. It will be a while before I get wheels any way.

Stitch, why do you say it WILL get beat up?

When trying to decide what wheels to buy, my local rim shop was gonna give me a DEAL on some Foose Nitrous 22's. And when I say deal I mean $1800 OTD for all 4 with Hankooks (a customer bought the wrong bolt pattern for his car online and already mounted the tires before a test fit, so the Vendor would not return them.....effin EBAY). Once they were on I quickly fell out of love with them due to the bolts going all the way around the rim. Just too busy of a look for what I wanted. Instead I bought the Torque Thrust's and have been happy ever since.

BTW, i think he still has them on the floor for the same price. My local shop is selling them on consignment for the customer since he bought a new set. I so not want to post the name of the shop as he is not a vendor here. But if anyone is interested, PM me and I can find out for sure. He offered me a $200 finders fee that I will put towards any members purchase of the set so you can get them at the $1800 price.

The stainless trim ring is pressed on, and hollow behind it. my first "literally first day" with them on going to Beach Burger something hopped up on the freeway and put a ding smack dab in the middle of the ring, since there's another ding in another wheel and curb rash on all but one I think? there is no repairing the trim ring or replaceing according to MHT there made in China. The good old USA doesent have the technology to replace the rings, so says MHT. I think every set I've seen with my own eyes has one of these dings in them.
