I am about to my iPad 3 in the dash as well. It will be very similar but I am using the Clarion EQS746 and the Pac Audio is76pro for charging and audio/video out. Can't wait to see more progress. I will start a thread on mine in a week or so.

Hey which Ipad are you using?

One downfall on Ipad installs is there is no real way to turn the Ipad off when exiting the car. Only option was for it to goto sleep on its own after 2mins. My solution was I jailbroke my Ipad and installed an app call QuickLock2. All you do is press the app and screen goes to sleep. If you are using an Ipad 1 I would recommend doing this.

This is the exact setup I am running expect no Pac, just the Clarion and a 4 channel amp on all 4 interiors.

I am doing the ipad 3. I'm using an app called plugged in that when I turn the ignition on it will open to music auto then when I turn the ignition off it locks auto and goes to sleep in like 30 seconds...

Never knew about that app until now. Def downloading that first thing in the morning. Will make things more convenient.

Yes it is jail broken and yep I got that app cause that was one thing I was wondering too
