    Idea For Reverse Lights

    Hey Gang!

    Recently, I tried the ERD and the ERF bulbs for backups, and had mixed results. While the light output is alot higher; the fact that the bulb sits so close to the base does not allow the reflector to do its job, and project the light properly.

    After brainstorming a bit, I think I might have found a solution:







    I think I found a bulb that will work, and we are all familiar with the stock bulb. From side by side comparisons, the bulbs are very close in size for the critical dimensions.

    I think this bulb, if extracted from the base properly, will fit right in the Magnum's backup bulb receptacle, protrude far enough out to make use of the reflector, and thus not cause a heat problem.

    Plus, these bulbs are rated at 27 watts!

    What do you guys think?

    So, a stock highbeam headlight then is what your thinking?
    I know the highbeams dont have a darkened cap on them.

    Good attention to detail, Steve, but no, not really. High beams are typically 55 watts, not 27 watts.
