    hids are in...PICS!!!!

so i got around to installing my ebay hids this weekend from urarparts on ebay..the 74.99 shipped kits..

for the lows i had to use the hid relay harness with the capacitor, the fogs, plug and play..

both kits 6000k, and boy are they bright, the fogs alone are enough for me to drive around with..

one problem i ran into was the headlight housings, its not as easy as it seemed removing them with out taking the bumper off, and harder getting back in, so one of my lights, i think its the passenger side thats off, is to low..

i noticed when putting that light back in the socket that the ball end pops into seemed to rotate maybe 90 degrees, i though nothing of it and went ahead and tightened them down, but i either have to check that bulb, i think its in right cause both bulbs, have the arch wire facing down..so its most likely that ball socket needs to be turned back..i wil get to that this week sometime and post up pics...

i"ll get pics of that too when i get the lights straightened out..

ALL STRSIGHTENED OUT AND HERES THE PICS..SORTA BLURRY, DONT HAVE A TRIPOD, AND ALL PICS TAKEN WITH NO FLASH..

    I WILL GET MORE SOON..

    from the drivers seat...

    lows and fogs

    just the fogs...

like i said i will get better pics soon..

thanks Mr I for all ya help...

the brand name are xentech, search for ebay seller urcarparts..took about 7 good days to receive them..

well they flickered like crazy when i first installed them with out the relay harness..bought a harness on ebay, cause these kits dont come with the relay harness, added the capacitor in, and everything is great..

Nice job Bookem... I still have not installed mine yet and yes I have to remove my headlight assemblies as well... Just wondering if you can elaborate on what to expect with / and define the "ball socket?"

    Cheers!

the ball socket is on the outter end of the housing, by the fender, its exactly that, a ball end of a bolt that pops into a socket..its easy to get it out the socket, but trying to manuver the headlights back in and get that ball to pop back in the socket was a pain in the azz..

took a lot of pulling and pushing on the fascia to figure out how to weezle the housingback in, with out scratching up the paint..i dont know how some madeit seem so easy, lol...an extra set of hands definately help..

good luck with yours man, took me a good hour and a half from start to finish, just on the low beams, and most that time was trying to get the housing back in place..

    Thank You Haz

the "C" model won't have flickering because you have the stronger alternator, so you shouldn't need the capacitor or relay kit..

at least on the 1/2 dozen kits i've installed for local members haven't needed it..

Nice job Book, your SE just keeps getting cooler and cooler and the price seems awesome too. Good work!
I now have the dreaded brake pad rattle going on. Someone flagged me down saying something sounded loose or broken. Oh well one more weekend project to do, probably fix it when I change my oil and install my Chrome headlights I traded for. Oh BTW, didn't you put in yellow fogs a while back? Did you not like them? Just curious.

    thanks 442&Magnum..

what can i say, this site is my inspiration to do only clean mods, lol..i learned from the best, u guys..so hats off to the forum..

yes i had nokya hyper yellow bulbs in the fogs, my lady got me aset of hids for xmas, and i figured this is the chance to upgrade my fogs as well, being that one bulb blew anyway, so i ordered a set of hids for the fogs, and now have both lows and hid fogs..looks so freaking sweet, and damn is it bright with both on..i want to adjust them all though, have the lows beam pick up right after the fogs, if possible anyway...

the brake pad rattle, boy am i glad i dont have to hear that anymore, lol but i still need to replace my pads and calipers this year..

let me know if hte brake pad rattle fix works for u, i hope it does..

    Thank You Haz
