    Headrest cover removal - '06

    Hi folks,
Is there anything special to separating the cloth cover from the headrest foam? There seems to be a seam on the underside of the cover but not sure how it's attached around the foam and I don't want to damage it trying to get it off.

Any advice/knowledge that you can share?

    Thanks in advance.

I am looking for this info as well. As far as I know they just pull right off, although watching all the TV shows it seems like a real bitch to get them on so I can't see it being easy to get them off. LOL

just peel them off. use a grocery store produce plastic bag over the foam to ease installation.

Thanks Pete, I'll give it a whirl. It seems like the seam has plastic or something hard under it on both sides of the seam. I thought the two sides might be joined together via a locking ridge in the plastic pieces but doesn't seem to be the case.

although i've never had to remove one from an LX, other chrysler vehicles use J-hooks (locking ridge) or zippers.

I have been researching this extensively. I am to reupholster my SRT seats i bought with some other covers. The hard parts u feel are just 2 plastic "Ridges" and they just clip together. The car companies no longer use hog rings and crazy tools to get the covers on. If u grab ur backseat and pull up on it, it will come right off. Its not even bolted down, it sits in a little groove on each side, and u can see all the plastic clips holding the cover on. So all in all its all plastic and zippers. For the headrests though hes right use a part of a plastic bag to get them on, they are a bitch. The seat backs are easy cause u can roll them inside out and roll em on. Good luck.
