    Halo inverter water proofing

I used 2" heat shrink tubing and contractors grade double sided tape on the inverters for my AAC Halo kit and it looks like it will do a great waterproofing job for them.

I also found that the best way to hold the hopusing togeather during reassembly is to use a band clamp like this one . http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS...D=9876&pos=n01

AAC posted that it would be OK. Mine have been covered since I got them. No problems thus far.

The best way to seal it is to pot it with DOW "non corrosive" silicone. That's the only way to keep the moisture out off the electronics without a custom water tight box. Condensation cam still appear over time though.

Just a heads up - you did the same as me on the small black quick-connects that connect the white wires from the inverter to the halos - That's where I had water intrusiuon - not at the inverters themselves. So before you go far, I'd strongly suggest sealing the ends of the heat shrink at that connection as well. a little silicone or good tape should make it good...

    Nice job, btw!
