    In for first service today

Took my '06 Mag RT in for its first service today. I've got 2800 miles and doing the first oil/filter change. I've also been having a problem with the radio not working when the car sits outside all day in the cold. So I dropped it off last night on my way home from work after the service area had closed just so it would get nice and cold overnight and the service tech could recreate the condition in the morning.

The problem is I felt sick all last night and this morning thinking about my Mag sitting outside on the dealer's lot. I even went to check on it at about 11:30 last night just to make sure it was alright. My wife thinks I am crazy but I feel ALMOST the same way I did when my 3 year old daughter was wheeled away to surgery to have tubes put in her ears!

Part of my anxiety is that I never used this dealer before and I'm anxious to see how they do with its first service. All the horror stories I read here about places using the wrong oil, adding miles, smoking tires, etc. don't exactly instill confidence but I have no reason to doubt this dealer so far.

I can't wait to be able to leave work at night and actually be able to listen to the radio on the way home! Wish me luck!

Got it back a little bit ago. Verified it at least states on the receipt that 5W30 oil was used. Receipt also shows 5 quarts of oil was added. Even though I think the 5.7l hold 7 quarts, I'm sure not 100% of it drains out right? I'll check the level when I get home tonight. I had to come back to work after picking it up.

The tech was able to verify the problem with the radio. They decided to order a new head unit which should be here anywhere from tomorrow to a week from now depending on who I asked. if that takes care of the problem I'll be extremely happy!
