    Exhaust Cutouts

I'm thinking about running some exhaust cutouts, but my question is what brand should i run and are they worth it.

I agree with my friend with the slow Maggy. DMH {low clearence) ovals are the best for lxs. Dave, the owner, is as honest as they come. If you go to their website you wont see the ovals but email or call him.

    I used the DMH ovals.

Has anyone done a before/after dyno? I'd be interested in seeing numbers for before, after/closed, and after/open, if anyone has them.

I'd like to keep my car looking as stock as possible, but would like to open them up for some fun now and then (at the least, oughtta be good for getting slow pedestrians out of the crosswalk!), so I'd like to keep my stock exhaust and put cutouts on. Speaking of that, will they change the tune of the exhaust while closed?

If you want cutouts, you shouldn't be worried about numbers. You're going to lose mad low end. It sure sounds cool as f*ck though!

I know because I lost noticeable low end power when I installed my cutouts. They sure do sound bad ass though!

Bandit will say that you'll gain a tenth even though he's never run a 1/4 mile (he's talking about dyno experience). After my experience on a stock bottom end, I'll tell you that you'll loose a bit.

I'm done with my cutouts and will be fixing my exhaust system in the next couple of weeks. Your mileage may vary. Good luck.
