Do your turn signals do this?

I noticed last week on a trip to high-stakes bingo in Rock Hill, SC that if I just moved the turn signal lever 'just a bit', not hitting the detent, that the turn signals cycled 3 times and stopped!

Great for lane changes - wonder why I never noticed it before?

I got to see 111 on the digital speedo before she chickened out - sure got there in a hurry too!

The turn signal operation is described in the manual. Makes for great bathroom reading!

    I also like this feature

That feature is also on our C230, which uses the same steering column as the LX cars. It is handy.

    You guys are joking, right..?

You mean like when you just push the lever one way or the other, but not enough so it will stay engaged on its own..? So you can hold the directional on for just a moment and then let go..?

You push it down slightly and release quickly. It will continue to blink about 3 times.

Oh thank you for clearing that up - I thought you guys menat that the directionals would just stay on for as long as you pressed - and I was resisting the temptation to scream that every vehicle I have EVER owned has done that! My bad...

That does sound pretty cool - I'll have to try that on the ride home...

My '95 Grand Prix had the "beep at you" feature if the turn signal is left on for more than 25 secs or so. It's a damn nuisance at a long traffic light...

Its explained in the vehicle owners manual. The most unread book on the planet. What a shame.

and here I was thinking that I'd done a pretty good job of reading 'the book'..

Good idea on the 'bathroom reading' ,

Well I'll be damned, it does do that - cool! 8)

And I'm with xdavis24 - I'll read the manual as soon as I'm not spending every spare minute driving the car. Might be while yet...

Couldn't agree with you more, spent my first 2 days of ownership combing each page.

. . . which makes me ashamed to admit that I had no clue about the turn signal feature. Very handy. Thanks for the posts guys, once again the forum comes through.
