I have found that my noESP mod now goes unused, as the Diablo tune exerts very little control over wheelspin. I don't know if Diablo has totally killed traction control and ESP, but it is certainly much slower to engage. My Magnum will barely break a tire loose with the factory tune, but with the Diablo tune, it is a handful on anything but bone dry asphalt.

You can disable traction control completely, but remember that at the same time you are also disabling ABS.

HUGE thanks to Hemiwagn and HalfFast Performance for making it all possible.

As Dave posted, with reduced TM the ESP barely works, and the car is a little hairy to drive in the rain unless you drive like a little old lady.

While the subject of traction control is being discussed, I was surprised to find out at the meet and greet "Northwest Gang" at the XXX on Sunday that nobody that I talked to had known about the turn ignition key method of disabling the traction control for our 5.7's.
It works great! I always felt a little cheated not being able to really disable like our big brothers, BUT WE CAN.... At between 15 to 25 miles an hour simply turn the ignition key to the right as though you were starting up, hold for a few seconds, don',t worry no starter ingagement, and now the chime and mister squiggly and ABS light comes on. And now what I believe is 100% of the bliss that I know I enjoy when my baby gives ME full and total contol of her. Wow kinda kinky.... lol. Well If ya didn't already know ENJOY.
Never heard of the turn key thing....u have tried this?? Does it come back to normal after turning the car off?

Sorry the thrill is for that ride only, when you shut her down it's back to normal. The answer is yes I have tried it many times. Try it but hey........let's be carefull out there.
With the Diablo, when you disable ESP, do you then have to turn it back on with the Predator? Or can you turn the car off then back on to reset the ESP??
No, if you change the setting via Diablo, then you must go back via Diablo.
With my last B&G tune Torque Management and ESP were totaly eliminated all the time. I wasn't crazy about it being totaly off all the time.
But it is unbelevable when it is totaly off

Hey Gang, on the way home from work I realized there was something I forgot to mention. The key turn method only works on April 06 builds and later, real bummer for a ton of you guys sorry. And now that I think of it I believe I got the scoop on the Charger Forum. So will one of you 5.7 Maggies and 300's later 06 thru 08 go give it a try then throw me a bone on a thread that you start. You will be a HERO!!!!!!!!
Actually, you don't need the Predator to re-enable ESP. Just press the ESP OFF button on your dash before you turn off your ignition. The next time you start the car ESP will be functional again. If you want to fully disable ESP again you DO need the Predator.
sWEET INFO THX!!
