Post Convenient source for the 4.7K ohm resistor needed to actuate Magnum liftgate.

Trying to make the OEM trunk switch for a 300/Charger (or any pushbutton switch) work for your Magnum's liftgate?

They're everywhere and even Radio Shack's price is a rip off, but 99 cents for the convenience is good...

Ratman discovered the value, great work! It's also listed in the Service Manual, if you know where to look. Check out his thread in the knowledge base as he worked out a great little trick with springs to pop it open, as well as putting together a kit of parts. But if all you want is the resistor, here's the most convenient place, your local Rip Shack.... Take down the catalog number 271-1330 and drop in, the next time you're in the mall holding credit cards for your wife.

    2007 SuperBee SRT8 - 12.21@117

on a side note, I mistakingly picked up a 4.7k 1/2 watt resistor to build my kits. I have to try it out before building any more.

It's supposed to be soldered to either one of the terminals on the switch.

    It's worth it to someone....

I got a PM (ain't mentioning any names) offering to do the turn signal mod in trade for one of my fine 4.7K 1/4 watt resistors!

This means I still have two left to give away....any other takers? I still have a set of rally stripes to install

Of course I was joking, but I think an excuse to meet up with another forum member is worth the gas too!

If the drive wasn't so long, I'd come for the stripe install!
