    Cargo Dog Gate

    Hi Guys,
I was just wondering what type of Dog Gate do you use for the cargo area. I have to bring the Dog to the vet for a Tune up and I don't want her to scratch the leather seats. Also if anyone has any pics that would be great.

Sorry I can't help you as my dog is too tall to fit in the back. I tried putting him there for one trip but it didn't work out so well.

Now if I take him anywhere I just put him in the back seat. He doesn't hurt the leather at all. I just have to vaccuum out a ton of hair afterwords!

However after doing a quick google search I found this: http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...1159&Year=2005

I have their wind deflectors and I thought I had seen one on their site when I ordered.

We actually made front seat and console "cozy's" fabric covers that keep dog paws from scratching front seats, and just put a dog-blanket in the back.

I have some carpet scraps that are cut to line the cargo area wiith the seats folded down.
I also throw one of my Dane's beds in the back. A moving blanket works too.
If THIS dog can fit, any dog can fit!

Detail spray or a wash is necesary after returning home, slobber city down the windows and sides of the car after a good ride!!

Now, the nice kisses in the ear while driving, just wonderful.
The hard part is driviing very smoothly and not cornering or braking hard, she has a really hig CG!!

One more advantage to having a little dog - diego sits in his car seat and watches where we are going. I hear ya on the slobber part though...

Yep! I haul my Newfoundland in the back of my Magnum. It's great to see the looks of surprise when I open the liftgate and he stands up!

I can fit a Black Lab, American Pit and a Rhodesian in the back. And they are not cramped. They do fight for the open windows though. And I agree with MAGNUM8R, slober everywhere! Just plop the seats down and go. Gives you an excuse to detail the car.

That's a classic picture to me. I just love the look your dog is giving us.

I use this canvas crate that folds up when I am not using it and it stops Diogi's(pronounced D-O-G) hair from getting all over. I bought it from Pet Smart.

That is a great look, I get that a lot from my dog, you don't know if she's just dumb, or WAY smarter than me sometimes. But then again my dog is insane, really so there's no figuring her out.

I saw one here in town a year back from a guy I met. He modified a dog cage for the rear end of a blazer or suburban. It looked like it was meant to fit in there. Sorry I don't know which one it was and I don't have pics. He did seem very friendly to want to hang out again. Such is life

I have a Rottweiler and she fits in the back cargo. I guess I will get a doggy blanket and have her sit in the back seat.

We just loop a leash through the rear tie-downs

We haul two mid-size dogs that way. Using the rear tie-downs and a short leash attached to their collar prevents them from reaching the rear seats, but allows them to move around the back.
