    CAI Installed

Brute force intake received yesterday. Four days from order and installed today.Sounds great. Kid ran into me with his bike just as I was about to thread on the main tube fender nut and fell into the abyss. Gotta figure out what size it was now. Thanks iRock for the pointers.

Whoa what a bad break. Too bad Rick is at work, he might know. Ain't it grand? I like the looks too. Hope you didn't punish the little guy but it's better he hit you than the car.

Actually it's a collar nut. The one that threads onto the supplied rubber standoff that stabilizes the Brute polished tube. It's a metric thread of some sort.

It was the nieghbors 3 yr old with his trike. Just glad he only hit me.

Ya I agree that's the easiest way. Man the thing sounds so awesome. Just like the 79' Vette I had when I was just out of school. Had the air cleaner cover turned upside down and did it roar.

    .

I can make it functional but I am wondering if it would be worth the work and expense considering all CAI really gives you is a cool sound. Well for the most part.

This is true...however there is a pretty large "Cool" factor to a functional RAM Air hood. What kind of hood is that, it looks mean!!

Oh but the sound gets cooler reverbing through the open cavity in that hood! And like ScorpX says, it's just plain cool. IMO this is a moral imperative, DV...
