    Brake Pedal Very Soft

My 05 MSXT has approx 115K miles on it. Recently I noticed the brake pedal is very soft. Its getting closer & closer to the floor before the car actually slows down. Just wondered if anybodyelse has seen this. Is this this the master cylinder or what? Thanks in advance.

old fluid? Worn out pads? Both? I'd check them. Especially at that mileage.

Soft pedal generally is due to low line pressure. That usually points to a bad master cylinder, or failing/decaying brake lines. Look at the lines and see if there are any bulges or tears, or weak spots in the rubber. Also check if any brake fluid is spilled anywhere. Braided brake lines are a good upgrade if you plan to keep the car awhile longer.
