    Aux in.

I have the OEM CD/Sirius (no casette) radio in my SXT. I want to be able to connect up a DVD player or an MP3 player or even an XM Roady 2 to my system. I don't want to use an FM modulator because they don't sound very good. I don't have a casette player to use with one of those insert adapters.

I asked my local stereo installers about it and they said that no one makes a wiring harness/adapter for Aux in on the Magnum systems yet. They put me on a list to contact me when one is available.

Has anyone found a way to get line level inputs for this kind of OEM system without using the FM?

Hey zxlwno, nope. That was one of the reasons that I had them swap out the AM/FM/CD for a AM/FM/6CD/Cassette/MP3 player from another car on the lot when I bought the Magnum. I wanted to be able to use the cassette adapter for my ipod instead of the FM transmitter (iTrip or iRock). Hopefully, more cars will come standard with mp3 player direct connectivity soon. Hope you find what you're lookin' for. Good luck.

I just replaced my lowend OEM radio for the XM ready Pioneer from Crutchfield with dash adapter kit. It's CD/MP3/WMA/WAV and ipod ready.

PS: I have an XM Roady2 I'll sell cheap.

Considering the odd stereo opening size, that is a pretty good looking kit for the aftermarket radio.

Looks even better in person. I was really impressed with the kit and looks after install.

OK, thanks for the replies. I'll just have to wait and in the mean time use the FM modulator for DVD when we go on vacation.

I sold my high end stereo (Pioneer Premiere, MP3, built-in XM Radio, subs, Pioneer Premiere speakers, and 2 amps) with my last car. No way to get another system past the wife at this juncture.
