About LinkBacksI know this has been discussed, but I cannot find the previous threads. I think it was GoofyTimL that had some posts on this issue.
06 Magnum RT, the auto headlights come on when I turn the wipers on just fine. They come on at night, not dusk, my eyes arn't what they used to be and I need the lights to come on sooner. I did find a post where our fellow member added a piece of window tint to the sensor on the dash and that worked fine on his car. I tried the "two button lower spoke control simultaneously" and I was able to read something that looked like it was the setting for this feature, but is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of this feature.

Hi, I have the same problem. Depending upon which version EVIC you have, you can addjust the sensitivity yourself. My car has version 4.05 which does not have this functionality. I plan to complain about the auto headlights next time I take the car in and ask them to update the EVIC software to a later version so I can set the sensitivity myself. I think my evic is up to date, but since I have a Magnum the auto light sensitivity isn't in the evic display. I think there may be an option via starscan that can be turned on to enable auto headlights in the evic... not certain, but I thought I saw that around here somewhere.
Did the radiator cap mod: SRT8 is here....

I do not have the ability to make changes in EVIC display that I can see. I will check what version it is. Do I need a version higher than 4.05?...............................................................

If you have the climate control, which you must have for the Auto Headlight Mod to work, put the evic in diagnostic mode by holding down the Music Note and Compass buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds.... then using the up down scroll buttons on the left side of the steering wheel, scroll till you find a screen that has "Lgt" in it. The number displayed to the left of it is the sensitivity... I think the range is from 150-220. It will have a > ext to it indicating that if you hit the top button on the left side of the steering wheel, >, It will change something. Each time you hit the > button it will change scrolling up to 220, then it will jump down to 150 and start scrolling again. Put the car in the light condition you want them to come on at and adjust till they turn on. Tada!
Ok, this was from memory and should be substantially correct... I'm driving down the road typing this from my TrailBlazer work car so I can't verify 100%.

That feature in the EVIC is not there on ours 05 Mag RT. Must be an 06 option, wish I had it, sounds like a cool feature

yup 06 only. along with cruise inidication in the evic. Not sure what to do for us 05s. I will hook up starscan Tuesday and see if there is some sort of setting under the vehicle prep section.

I wonder if MagnumFreak will find anything out for us '05s. Is there any EVIC Update available for '05s that might give us this control? (Or can the sensitivity be adjusted by the starscan if you don't have that Lgt sensitivity screen?)
