2008 OEM Magnum HID Headlights, need some help and input

I am trying to put together a the OEM 2008 Magnum HID headlights, but I can't figure out what I need to complete the project. The Dodge dealer literally told me since my 08 Magnum did not come with HID lights that the heat from the lights would fry my car computer and it would cost me $34,000 not $3,400, but $34,000 to get it to work properly. I laughed and promptly walked out. I have the headlight housings already. I have ordered the H9 bulbs from an online retailer. The picture of the headlight/bulb break down I have from Dodge shows a bulb with a square piece on the back. I don't know if that contains the ballast or not. I have a kit from Papito that can be cannibalized if need be for parts. If the bulb from Dodge is complete with ballast then I will either install his kit in my fog lights or sell it, but right now I need some info on how to complete this project.


I would have added pictures to aid in the discovery but apparently every picture I take is to big for the file size limit and I have no idea how to shrink that.

OK I just got the oem bulbs in the mail and I have noticed that the ballast is completely different and not included in the ridculous price I paid for the bulbs. I want add the ballast but I wanted know if anybody knows if the HID ballast is plug and play (connector wise) with the OEM halogen setup. I would really appreciate it if someone with the HID setup on their 2008 magnum could chime in .

OK I just read another post of guy who did this on a charger. Does anybody know if the charger ballast are the same as the 2008 magnum ballast and does anybody know where I can get the wires that go from the headlight ballast to the bulb?

All u need is the regulators for the headlights to do a HID kit on ur 08.

From the mod post it looks likeI need ballsts and the headlight retainer.
