1st Place at Spring Break Nationals (car audio)

Hi guys. I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy with the whole car audio competition thing. A bunch of you guys were following the build up of the competition car audio install. Here's the update. I drove down to Daytona for Spring Break Nationals and ended up taking 1st in MECA Modified+ Sound Quality and 2nd in MECA Modified Install. I've entered four shows in all since I finished the install. I've won 9 trophies and 8 awards. I'm pretty excited about the sound quality of the Magnum. The interior of the Magnum is a great enviroment if the speakers are properly placed. I just thought that you guys would like to know that a fellow Magnum owner/forum member is kicking @ss on the car audio sceene. Here is a pic after Nationals:

I saw this car while I was there. So you ended up winning.

You won SQ. Did you enter in the SPL?

No, I'm not an SPL guy at all. Did you see the guy with the Magnum competing in SPL? I'm not sure how he did. The install was typical "SPL Sloppy" but that's not really a hit on him. 99% of the SPL cars are like that.

Yep, I seen it. I prefer quality, but some of the SPL cars are out there. Like the F250 that had the whole bed and camper warped from the pressure.

Thanks! BTW...all of the build pics of the car are on my photobucket site. You just have to look in the sub-folders.

    Right on!
The interior of the Magnum is larger than many other vehicles. Do you think this is why it's such a great enviroment for sound quality? I have two amps and speakers that have been sitting in my garage for years, perhaps I should look into installing them in my Maggie...I must go look at your photos now.

Yeah...I agree with you. That doesn't make any sense. BTW...I went to another MECA double point event yesterday and took 1st in sound Q, 1st in install and got SQ best of show. I think it's going to be a great season for the Magnum.

    Nicely done

I looked through all your sub-catagories in your album, nicely done. How much weight do you think you added to the ride ?

Is it possible for you to weigh your ride, so I can compare before and after weight ?

I am trying to keep my install under 250 lbs. Looking at yours makes me want to get started on Phase 3 !!!!

That's not a bad idea. I'll look into where I can get it weighed and post the results.
