10,000 Miles, should I expect this much wear?

All, a couple of interesting quality issues that have me bugged. First off, I really love this car. I am, however, concerned over a couple of things that have cropped up that make me wonder how this car will look in another 30,000 miles.

Carpeted floor mat: Driver's side, LOOK AT THIS HOLE! Now, I keep my mag clean, inside and out. I expect the interior to last at least as long as the factory warranty.

Next, there is an area on the bottom edge of the liftgate, passenger side, which is rubbing against the bumper cover:

Yes, next oil change I will bring these to the attention of the dealer. Anyone else seeing stuff like this?

The carpet wear is a known issue, there has been a great deal of dissatisfaction. I would suggest printing out what you find off of this forum under a "carpet wear" search and go to your dealer and play squeaky wheel.
The liftgate is an outright assembly flaw. It sould not rub anywhere! Ask the dealer to correctly align it and then REPAINT the dmaged areas.

    And the dead shall walk

Weeb, I have the same exact problem in my carpet. Haven't seen ANYONE with that rubbing issue though, you should definately have that fixed by the dealer.
Man's biggest mistake is to believe that he's working for someone else.

I'm not seeing the issue as I have numerous clear mats and weather rain/snow catcher mat on the drivers side keeping my dirty feet off that cream colored rat hair carpeting. :D

LOL....my trim assembly comes out all of the time as well. Never really figured it was worth mentioning as I can just push it back and snap it in. Now that someone else is HAVING the problem, I wonder if it's a design flaw!?

Hmmm, never had my trim assembly pop out ??? That seems weird. maybe that fixed it in the later vechicles, and i have a later one?

That stock carpet is tough to even label as "carpet". Alas, its what I'd expect in a Dodge, sorry. So, I'd either try and hit up DC for some replacements, or get some of those REAL aftermarket carpets with the cool R/T logo's on them... It would also help in the sound muting department, always a good thing.

I must be one lucky guy, I am about to turn 10k on my Magnum and don't have any complaints and the only service isue was the recall on the radiator brackets. I do however SHOW premature tire ware and will keep an eye on it.
