The front fascia changes on the '08 Magnum SRT seems to be focused on the area over the headlights; the eybrow area. Does anyone know if the various '06 to '07 aftermarket hoods will fit the '08? I like the OEM hood scoop on the '08 SRT but I have recently seen some hoods on the '06s and '07s that might be better and lighter. The '07 and '08 Mustang Shelby GT 500s have lightweight (aluminum or fiberglass) hoods to improve weight and total weight transfer. I would like to consider this when modding my soon to be delivered '08 MSRT. Any info out there? God bless.

A 2008 hood is quite a bit different. I'm sure a 05-07 could be made to work with enough frabication, but that goes with anything.
It's definitely not a straight bolt on affair.

The 05-07 Magnum hoods are Aluminum. So I assume the 08 are too. The 08 hood will not fit the older model and the older model will not fit the 08. Not without extreme fabrication, or an entire front clip swap.
If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?
For those that say it WILL NOT FIT, has anyone tried it yet? I have yet to see a ' I spent $1300 on this friggin hood and it don't fit' thread

Why do you have to see that? Look at the front of the friggin cars. Look at the hoods on an 07 and an 08 side by side. You don't have to blow $1300 to see that it is not a direct bolt on.
I have had mine parked beside an 08 and it looks pretty darn close to me, the only thing that's missing is the buldge in the middle.

HUGE thanks to Hemiwagn and HalfFast Performance for making it all possible.

The whole hood is different, the buldge in the middle, the area around the headlights and grille angles are different, and probably some other subtle differences that are not noticeable just viewing pictures.
In other words, it doesn't interchange.

They are VERY different, I have seen them side by side, in person.
The hood, fenders, fascia, grill & lights would all have to be changed.

Thanks all! I didn't mean to start an argument. Besides, the dealer that promised me an '08 was counting on a dealer trade that did not materialize. I'm back to an '06 so I know there won't be any fitment issues. Thanks anyway. Beans for all...
No problem. There wasn't really an argument. I think most of us could tell it wouldn't fit, and one member was confused a little, but we're all on the same page now.![]()
