    Zoomers, Flowmaster, Magnaflow or Borla

I know there are tons of threads regarding exhausts...

For those of you who have em, brag here to us, tell me what you like, how is the growl, is there that drone that I keep hearing about? Was there a performance gain? Did MPG go up? Does it go weird during the MDS kick in?

I plan to invest in a CAI too when I install my exhaust but which exhaust?

The Magnaflow seems to be about $600, I think the Flowmaster's are cheaper, the Borla system is about $800 and the Zoomers system is $1100 (unless I can get in on the group buy).

I like the growl of the Zoomers but could equally live with the others too.

    Whatcha think y'all!

I have the magnaflows and will highly recommend the zoomers. Just in case you are in southern cali and you are into the magnaflow, I will gladly sell you mine for 50% of what I paid for it so that I can buy the zoomers.

    Any more question?

I know where Cucamonga is, it's between SD and LA, it's been a LONG time since I have been out there, over 10 years, why o why did I ever leave...

Thanks for the offer, I too, am hoping against hope that I can get on the group buy to get the zoomers, cannot afford them at $1100 though.

Thanks for the recommendation, there seems to be a lot of SoCal Magnums and 300's, bet you could find a buyer!

The Zoomers looks and sounds better than anything I have experienced so far..

I'm holding out for the Gibson Performance Headers and Cat Back. They have done a ton of research and used my R/T for a week. I may leave it with them when I go on vacation next week. They tell me the headers are CARB approved already.

Let me give you the easy way out, Flowmaster Mufflers (leaving the stock pipes, around $200) with Zoomers Tips ($275 shipped). Great sound, NO Drone.

the car comes stock with an x pipe. The cheap way is to cut after that and install borla or whatever, then you could leave the stock resonators in at back(I did)and put some tips on of your choice. I have no drone in the car and just a tad more noise outside. I may try to get a little more sound by adding different resonators in back. The job as is cost me about 340.

It isn't an offer, it is what I have installed on my Magnum. I put in Flowmaster 40 Serier Mufflers, left everything else stock including the resnators in the back and then decieded to call Zoomers and order 2 tips. I had them installed and LOVE the SOUND, the Zoomers make all the difference in the world.

Sounds like Redfox0099 has found the best of both worlds, good rumble at idle, nice thunder at WOT and no drone. I've got the Borla 112 with stock headers. It's pretty quiet at idle but wakes up very nicely and noticable when you give it just a little gas. Under heavy throttle it sounds magnificent. No drone and I can't tell when MDS kicks in. I know I've reduced the weight by 30 lbs and I've probably gained horsepower and torque but my performance gain is strictly perception until I get it on a dyno. I haven't seen Borla advertise numbers lately. The tips on the Borla 112 are beautiful.

R/T has an X pipe stock. Most of the aftermart systems have an X pipe also. Magnaflow uses a single primary muffler instead.
