Is it just a window switch, or is there safety switches, like a low fuel pressure etc...? Is it for sure the window switch is the problem?
Separate fuel feeds, or common line? Through the injectors, or two solenoids?

Are you getting the right wire on the TPS sensor? You should for safety go to the TPS sensor and not the pedal. Cal the controller by moving the throttle blade by hand with the key on, not using the pedal.

Also, remember the resistor in series with the TPS to window switch wire to isolate the signal. Without that, the window switch wrecks havoc on the signal.

Double check your settings, I think IIMC the signal type is #1. Sometimes they get mucked up.

    $0.02 fix, almost literally....

    LX

Thanks for some good insight on possible problem and yes it is the switch because it worked correctly before install. I will make sure about the procedure that mhigham suggested and hope for the $.02 fix.

BTW..BBH...don't worry about the mirror....just the Chrome reflection from my tail pipes.

    BTW...Big Dave....tried the duct tape and N/G.

Please post any other thoughts that will help,...Thanks

It should go... TPS -> Resistor -> Window -> NMU

I would assume that the Window switch has an "open curcuit" mode that will allow you to properly program the NMU.

With Key on, arm on, tap into the wire between NMU and Window with a multimeter and manually open the throttle blade... it should measure just under 5 volts. If it does not... you will have to figure out how to get it into "open circuit" mode or bypass the window every time you need to program the TPS in the NMU.

Also make sure you are using the Brown / Orange TP Sensor wire #1 off the Throttle body.

I also undertand for the tach signal to use the wire on the coil pack closest to the clip. Blue / Green on some cars. Use a NON-MDS cylendar like #3.

Again... If you describe the issue we can certainly work through it.

I don't think there is an open switch but you can program it to be open. Set Traction Control Skip-Shift to Zero, Activation RPM usually around 28ish is fine, Deactivation RPM usually around 56ish is also fine.

While the car is running and in park turn on the arming switch and then press the learn switch and mash the gas, the RPMs will max around 4K which is within the window and the NMU should program "learn" fine.

Reprogram the window switch skip-shift paramater afterwards if you would like to change it from Zero.

I thought you could program key on/engine off by just moving the throttle blade by hand.

I will find out in about an hour when I do mine.

I did that prior to installing a window switch but I hadn't tried it since.

Looking forward to results, it will good to know that will work when a window switch is installed.
