Hi Guys!!
Two questions:
1. Should Chrysler build the 300/300C convertible?
2. Would you be willing to pay upwards of 7,000 US$ to have the 300/300C's tin roof replaced with cloth?

Thanks,

My vote's with the Rev.
Yes, they should.
No, I wouldn't.
I have seen pictures of the 300 as a convertible. I think DUB magazine or something like that.
7000. no way.
Wonder if the customizers will make a Magnum convertible. That would be heck of a big top support.
7 grand is very steep for a manufacturer to surcharge for a convertible version of a car, assuming that it's been designed and produced as a convertible and not just a chopped up hardtop.
i don't know guys, although 7 grand might sound like a lot, you do have to realize that this car with the convertible top will now weigh over 4200 lbs, will have that extremely long wheelbase, and all the modifications they will have to make for the car to be safe if it should roll over i don't believe will come cheap... i think they should build it but for that extra 7 grand i know i'll be buying the srt-8
Reedman Toll just north of Philly has been selling them for $5,000 over for months now. I have seen a couple in person and I probably would pay that much for one if I lived in a warmer climate. Around here you don't get enough time with the top down.
There are two entirely different conversions so choose wisely. NCE adds a roll bar and keeps 5 place seating. ASC has no roll bar. Instead they use a high tunnel but only offer 4 buckets.
Convertible - yes.
Never thought about the price this way -- I figured if it stickered at less than $45, they could sell them. (With a HEMI included, of course).
Now, here's a curveball -- which would you druther -- 300C or Charger RT in a ragtop? I kinda think the Charger would be badder ...
6.1L HEMI #622 '07 TorRed MSRT8 1/165= TORRED >< 6.1L HEMI '10 Silver Jeep GC SRT8=4X4JETMSRT8 owners http://www.lxforums.com/board/groups/magnum+srt-8+owners/
Would I pay it? Nope. Is it a reasonable charge for the work involved if done right? yep. 4 door convertibles are few and far between due to the engineering challenges. Notice there are no others on the market and haven't been for a long time? Unless you add an awful lot of steel, it's gonna be as flexible as Mary Lou Retton was back in the 80's. Let's see a convertible station wagon..err 'sport tourer'.

It's a definite maybe.

If they redo the Monkees in a movie they can make the Monkeemobile out of a Magnum convertible. COOL!
Y'all know I got me a Magnum, why else would i be here?
It looks like it could use saloon doors.
They did it with the pt cruiser and it's a 2 door. Why does everyone think it would be a 4 door. I saw a factory conv.300 before the 4door came out i think it was in mopar mustle mag the only parts that wern't new was the roof becouse who else makes a better top then benz . With the hardest design parts done it should be a no brainer.
