    That is a BUMMER vs a 928!

You should have turned your KEY (you aren't reading the forum enough, M.H.)

Let me get this straight... I run up to 127 or so... I turn the key off, then back on... and I get to go faster? Might just be me, but it sounds like a cheat code from a video game move... I always lose the game when I try things like that. I think I'm too old to learn new "moves" when it comes to driving. Wrong generation maybe.

I was just turning your key -- I wouldn't do it either.

    Cool

Yeah im not going to do that either i mean i want to be able to go over 128 but im not going to turn a key off and back on at those speeds ...So i guess we will look like fools getting beat be any honda,bmw,volvo,porsche,mustang,camaro,etc.etc.etc . because we are limited to 128 how stupid...I had a 89 t-bird turbo coupe that had no speed limit and i would get that up to speeds of at least 135 or so and that was a 4cyl turbo aut to what a SHAME huh? :-D

I think the "key" to the key trick is not to turn the key off and on, but to turn the key as if engaging the starter....

    Exactly weeb.

If I am ever in a situaion to "need" the trick I might try it. There is no way in hell I am going to turn off the ingnition at 28 much less 128! That seems like a quick way to tow-truckville.

There is NO SIN in losing to a porsche !! It is lighter and more purposed designed to speed and racing than a Magnum. Hold your head up!!!

    And the dead shall walk

Yeah i know its not a sin but wouldnt it be nice to wipe his smile off his face while a station wagon was right on his back bumper and couldnt shake it if he tried..Dont get me wrong i think i was holding my own..like i said not beating him but staying with him til 128 then POW nothing else to give him... :-( What a shame i think yesterday if the car could have went 140 or so i would have put in there..at 128 it feels soild and still was pulling but it just stops that sucks...Hey does anyone know what the tod speed would be without the limiter on it?????? :-)

This is the first time I heard of the "Key Trick." What is the procedure to use this trick? I would think that if you turned your key to the start position while the engine is running that you would grind the starter gear into the flywheel gear. I've done this accidently at idle before and I would not want to try it at 128mph. Is there a certain speed you must be going before this key trick will work?
