everybody knows that i got stage 3 heads and stage 2 cam my question is i just took the plastic bag off and i noticed a small amount of metal shaving on it what can i do about making sure that i get it all off before i install it? should i use compressed air or what?
I would tell the company that you bought your parts from. Air pressure sounds reasonable. You darned sure don't want any shavings in your motor, though it probably would do no harm. I once worked with a moron who got divorced, he wife got his new Firebird. Einstein put a cup full of sand down her oil fill expecting it would blow. Instead she keeps driving it for months unaware. Finally he couldn't stand it, so he told her. You guessed it, she took him to court, he had to buy her a new Firebird and he got to keep the one with the bad motor.![]()

yea, just blow through the ports to make sure its all free of loose particles. you can use dino oil right after the install and change it and the filter after running the motor for a short while. then you can go back to synthetic.
