    What Did Your RT Cost?

I've had my RT since May 25th of 04. Traded in a 02 Volvo V70 and with the trade-in allowance (very generous FROM the dealer where I bought mine) and the rebate FROM DCM, mine cost $26,700.00, with tax, title, nuts, guts, & feathers.

For what this car has feature wise, I know was is an outstanding value for this car. There were only 2 dealers in my entire state that had an RT at the time. The other dealer was arrogant and wanted me to trade in my V70 (practically giving it away) and pay $1,000 down. Drove my old car to the dealer I bought my RT at, didn't spend a nickel out of my pocket and drove the car home within 1.5 hours.

I bought my RT on June 11th in Ann Arbor, MI which is about 4 hours north of me. They were the only one dealer that had a blue RT with the sunroof, UConnect, and NAV, and only one of 2 dealers within 4 hours that had the side airbags. So, here's what I paid...

    $35,500 - MSRP
    -$1,000 - Negotiated price
-$1,000 - Daimler Chrysler Financial incentive
-$5,800 - Trade in allowance on 2001 Stratus R/T with 83k miles and a broken heater.
    ________
    $27,200 - What I paid

The negotiations weren't too hard. Apparently, the dealer didn't realize how rare that car was at that time. He wasn't willing to negotiate when I first called him, so I told him that he should realize that I'm driving 4 hours to his dealer....if he wouldn't give me a good deal, I'd gladly be willing to drive to someone else's dealer and that surely, someone within 6 hours of my house would give me a deal. I got what I wanted,,,,

Mine was about $35,200 after TT&L. All the bells and whistles except Satellite radio, and self sealing tires. No trade-in, just came out of a lease.

I paid full MSRP minus the $1000 Chysler financing bonus. Since I got every option known to man installed on the car, including the tow package, my car came out to about $35200. I am not dissappointed at all. What a machine for 35K.

My dealer is not able to keep the RT's on the lot. He has plenty of SE's and SXT's. He told me that RT's have to be ordered. While signing the papers, he got a call for an RT and quoted a 12-16 week delivery time.

I live in So Cal, and the RT's appear to be difficult to acquire here. I have 3 dealershipts in the immediate vicinity, and spent over a month just trying to get a stupid test drive of an RT. Wasn't able to get a test drive until 1 week before my car's delivery. But, I test drove alot of SXT's.... haha.

Agreed. Mine is a "plain Jane", no nav, no towing package. Have the sunroof though. I'm VERY pleased with mine so far. 12,400 miles with -0- problems (RH drift fixed on mine). Starting to experience items being thrown FROM the little storage bin in the dash when I scoot around traffic. Getting stronger torque wise with mileage, can't wait til I hit 40-50,000 miles.

    AM/FM CD/Cass/MP3 6-Disc

However, I have the affiliate/friends discount through my work, so I got 1% below factory invoice - $30,239.55 plus another $1000 FROM Chrysler brings it to $29.239.55. With trade, will be just over $25k.

Got my RT in July window sticker was $32845 what I was looking for was a clean deal.(by clean deal I mean no money out of my pocket.) I traded a 03 Mustang GT with 4,000 miles and a 02 Trailblazer with 39,000 miles both were paid for.I bought the RT for $30,931 out the door(included registration and document fees no taxes cause trades were more than value of new car which saved me almost a little over $1,800 in tax alone.). I got $31,205 for my trades which netted me a CHECK for $275 and 12 free oil changes over a period of 3 years which I value at $300.I also got the car all paid for and LOVE IT.

AWD RT (still on order), all options except NAV, tow & luggage rack - $35,435 MSRP; I pay $32,876 after affiliates discount (invoice - 1%). 8)

And they tell me I'm good for the additional $1K discount FROM Chrysler Financial provided that program is still running when I take delivery...

Double CHECK this last part - two different sales people told me that I would get the 1k discount FROM CFC or the current (when I take delivery and pay for my magnum) incentive, was better.

I too have an "affiliate/friends discount" though my work as well. But, I checked through 20 dealers here in NorCal and nobody would make this deal on the RT. All other models but not this one.
