I must have turned mine off. I don't remember choosing the option, but I know it's off b/c I can't hear it and my mileage sucks.
This thread is what I was looking for.
Cheers

All cars react differently to a tune, and MDS, but with a little bit of effort and a few part throttle datalogs, the MDS "surge" can be eliminated on all but the pickiest cars.
MDS transitions are smooth and predictable with my 400 ci stroker and big cam...
The thing that affects the "surge" MORE, is a high-stall torque converter. Mopar used an "unlock" command to make the MDS transition smooth, but a high-stall converter lets the unlock go too far... so when it locks up again there is a little "bump". that all is minimized with a spot-on custom tune, but it will take 100% transmission tuning capability to eliminate that completely.

I tried the Mileage XS Tune and the thing upshifted sooner and it seemed that the MDS stayed on longer. I did get better mileage, but the decrease in power was not worth it. Back to 91 Tune. I can feel the (slight) surge on flatland. In the hills my MDS light comes on downhill, goes off uphill, and I can't feel a thing.

I loaded my 08 300c with the predator 93 no cai tune and mds acted like normal couldn't tell a difference. A couple days later I installed blastin bobs 11db resonator delete kit, I unhooked the battery to tack the pipes in place after installation as the instructions recommended, and now the mds lugs the car down kicks in at low speeds under 40 mph, indicated by fuel saver mode coming on in the display. It never went into mds at low speeds till after the battery disconnect. I know deleting the resonators didn't do that. I'm gonna try that mds reset to see if it helps. Anyone have any ideas?
The car learns how you drive.. if you drove it hard before and MDS wasn't kicking on before then thats probably why.
MDS wasn't coming on at all on my 08 C, so I unhooked the battery and rehooked it up, and it comes on as low as 15kmph depending on how much im into the pedal.
Pretty sure its normal. The car should learn your driving style again.
I have both Superchips and Predator at the moment-trying to make up my mind which works best. I am noticing that Predator is giving me better mileage but the surge is MDS coming OFF while stock and Superchips was MDS going ON. Anyone else notice that? Also, Predator surge on 92 CAI is stronger than any Superchips one-kind of like a hard shift.
