    Tranny question....

    OK I've heard folks here talk about the auto stick and a 5 speed tranny, that indicates 1-5 on the dash display when shifting manually.... mine only goes to 4, do I have a different tranny or am I just confused?

    Now I might be totally wrong on this but I asked somebody the same question and the answer I got was you have 1, 2, 3, 4 and D which is a total of five "gears". Is this correct? Anybody?

    Have 1-5 and "D" on mine. The "D" shows up after I hold it to the right.

    5 shows up on the SRTs and I believe when you have a Superchips tune. Because you can actually "hold" the transmission in 5th gear. "D" is full automatic.
    (Waiting patiently for the 2011/12 300C SRT 8)

    Yup, you will need a Superchips tuner to see the magic "5"

    Correct. On an R/T you need Superchips to display the 5, and on SRT8's, the 5 is already there.

    Unless you have the Road & Track or Daytona cars.. then "5" can show up stock

    But I have the SC tuner! What am I doin' wrong?? Maybe 'cause all I flashed was reduced torque management and not paddle shift hold?

    Some Cs and Magnums that way I suppose.
    The change was made with the "Charger" revisions.
    I think post-charger/May 05, the Cs and Magnums changed too...
    I'm not sure since I only have the Charger
    ;-)

    the Flashpaq should be able to add the 5 to most cars. Possibly only VERY early LXs would not get it.
