My Magnum, with just over 200 miles has decided that only it knows when to shift. I tried the "Auto Stick" a few times when I first got it and it worked fine, so I put it in drive and left it alone. I took a trip up INTO the mountains and used i tto DROP a gear (5th to 4th) to pass a slow car and had no problem, then back to auto mode.

On the way back down the mountain, I tried to shift to a lower gear to ease the use of the brakes and it wouldn't allow manual selection.

Once down the mountain, I tried again, no dice. After stopping and restarting the car over the next couple days, it still won't allow manual selection. It works fine in full auto mode, shifts through all the gears, etc. But no manual shift.

Before I take it to the dealer and have to wait for them to get all the manuals tools and parts(several weeks, no doubt since it is a new design to Dodge) I wondered if anyone else was HAVING problems. I read the owner's manual about the "Fail Safe " tranny mode, but it doesn't seem to fit that description.
