    Starscan/tranny question

The dealership can flash my TCM so it doesn't freak out about a higher stall speed. What happens if that flash is loaded onto my TCM with the stock converter in there? I am under the impression that the computer limits the stall a little bit electronically. Would this allow for a slightly higher stall speed with the stock torque converter?

stall speed is mostly a function of HP/torque and converter blade design.
maybe the flash will only de-sensitize torque converter operation monitor so you don't throw a code. <-<-<- pure speculation

It would make sense for that to be the case. Thanks for humoring me.
