My car says RT -- I've seen pictures (here) of R/T badges -- is it a year model
thang?
Excuse me if this was already covered -- I'm too lazy to look it up...

6.1L HEMI #622 '07 TorRed MSRT8 1/165= TORRED >< 6.1L HEMI '10 Silver Jeep GC SRT8=4X4JETMSRT8 owners http://www.lxforums.com/board/groups/magnum+srt-8+owners/
60's ers R/T badges were just that...R/T. Magnums used the rt. Dodge seems to be a little inconsistant with how they use it.
Has been 'R/T' since the dawn of time, at least until some bonehead designer at DCX had a brain fart and decided that the '/' did not matter and badged the Magnum 'RT.' AFAIK, the Magnum is the first Dodge ever to be an 'RT', and not an 'R/T', and given the fact that they have acknowledged and corrected their boo boo on the new Charger, it may (hopefully) be the last.
Hey - what about the '06 Mags? 'RT' or 'R/T'..?

RT (New) and R/T (old) have different official trademark meanings:
RT = Race Technology
R/T = Road & Track
Also, SRT = Street Race Technology

When the 06 badges are available I'll have a virgule too.
You mean RT doesn't stand for Rocket???Originally Posted by E55 KEV

Then why did they change it back to R/T for the 2006 Magnum? I think it must have been an oversight.Originally Posted by E55 KEV
Maybe the "/" is a symbol for the hood prop they put in the 2006's :razz:

Just one more thing to set the '05s apart from the rest. Who knows? Maybe the RT badge will be sought after by collectors some day.
