    Royal Purple oil....any good???

Im about due for an oil change and the shopette here on base just got in a couple cases of Royal Purple 5w-20. Is this stuff any good? Also the last oil change I used Mobil 1 5w-30, is it okay to go from Mobil 1 to Royal Purple?

Go for it -- you can't go wrong. Switching brands is no problem, but stick with the 5W20: it's required by the factory for the MDS to work properly.

I also changed over to Royal Purple. I have a question as I am semi new to the synthetic oil thing but do you forum members still stick to the 3,000 mile oil change rule with synthetic. I am assuming so but please fill me in. Thanks.

RP is the only oil that has proven to increase dyno HP, it even made a difference with RP gear lube, plus it's rumored to keep internal part like new.
    I found a good deal on E-bay, $77 for a case of 12qts, bought me 2 cases.
I also use K&N oil fitlers, they are real good stuff too, don't know if they help performancewise, but I like having the best, they're high flow..., and I love that welded nut at the end of it, makes the job easy when it's time to remove the oil filter (I use it on all my cars, as I have for the past 5 years or so)
