    rough ride

has anyone else found their hemi vehicle to run rough around 40-50 kms/hr (25-30 mph). at higher speeds it smooths right out but i find it stutters a bit at lower speeds and when idling. i have not driven an engine this large before and dont know if this is regular or if i should take it in.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Mine has almost 97,000 miles and has had a lopey idle sometimes and once in a while a bit of surge at slow speeds. Sometimes the tranny shifts a mite abruptly. Funny cause my Hemi Ram is smooth as silk. But being an oldtimer and missing driving old muscle cars, I kinda like it. I guess I'll just have to get a cam for my truck. Seriously, if your mileage is good , nothing to worry about.

    5.7 Hemi

My 05 C runs smooth at all speeds even the low speeds you mentioned. I do have rough idle sometimes, but during the 2 1/2 years I owned my car, it never stalled.

If you read this thread (No MDS), a couple people (including myself) have similar comments. I feel mine even at highway speeds if I am paying attention. I look down and don't see my MDS light doing anything, so I assume it is in the engine. The other day I took it up an incline in first slowly giving it gas and got it to do it. It was evident enough that my daughter said she felt it, so it's not me feeling things. Trying to get the dealer to admit it has been quite a task, though. I've been looking for reasons why my mileage has been down around 13.5-14.5 in 80% highway driving and I think this may be part of it.

dougphaneuf - What kind of mileage do you get? And what year/make/mileage is your car?

    Anyone have any ideas?
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Just think...87F every day. But no ride! Update: Below 40F everyday now and no ride at all
