What's this ecm reflash I saw mentioned? Something about it helping mileage? My car was built 01/05 if that matters. While I'm at it, any other things I should get the dealer to take care of on the magnum?

PCM flash is an update to the software in the computer. There are multiple computers, each one can be updated seperatly. A lot of driveability problems are corrected with an update - rough idle, shift quality, a/c performance are a few that I have heard of. Here is a link to a thread about flashing Just got flashed!. There is also a TSB (technical service bulletin) list in the knowledge base, that may help in deciding if your car fits any of the tsb's. I don't think the tsb for rough idle is there, I have heard that 18-031-04a (I think thats the number) fixes a rough idle and gets better mileage. Also heard that the a/c update helps the idle and mileage issues. Good luck!
p.s. I will post after I get mine flashed and let everyone know how it goes. I'm in the process of finding a dealer with a service dept that knows about our cars so it may be a while. Anyone know a dealer in socal thats good? I bought mine in Riverside and don't want to drive 1.5 hours for service. Looking for a dealer on the west side if possible.

asked my dealer to do this--3.61 to4.0x---he told me if you don't have a problem forget it---but my dealer doen't know dick about the car, think i may talk to a dodge dealer---------------??
I don't think the skinny is out on the gains when updated to 4.01. We do know that the pcm can be flashed with the latest update and that does not change the EVIC version to 4.01. Performance and mileage gains are to be had with pcm updates, but there is no way to know which version of pcm software you have without a OEM scan tool.Originally Posted by graymagnum
