P0524 Check Engine

New (to me) 07 300C...in fact, just got it yesterday. I love it, but already a problem or two. CEL with P0524, says oil press too low. There's a TSB that says PCM needs flashing. Anyone have experience with this one? I just want to be sure it's not a true oil press issue.

I drove around with the EVIC oil press display turned on, it mostly said 45-55, dropped to low 30's at idle. Is this normal? (edit: I didn't have time to compare against my Mag R/T readings)

I've just had exactly the same thing after an oil change and still have the same oil pressure readings as you. I picked up a spare oil filter and ordered a new oil pressure sending unit just in case. As my oil pressure was still reading OK I disconnected the battery in the boot for 10 minutes and put my foot on the brake for 30 seconds to fully drain the power from the system. Connect back up and code's cleared and engine check light now staying off. If the code returns I'll swop the filter and pressure sensor and take it from there. Might not be the right way to do it but it worked for me.

TSB 18-003-08 should fix you up.
only way to test actual oil pressure is with a mechanical guage.
