My first impressions up close
Went to my local dealer to DROP off my son to p/u my wife's Liberty (recall). On the lot were 6 300Cs. 1 black, 1 cool vanilla (nice), 3 silver, and dmags favourite, jade green.
I took the green out, fully loaded. All with sunroofs. All still available.
Spacious inside. Yes indeed. Dash-nice but prefer the conoured dash on my Comp G. Sound system w/nav-nice toy but my eyes would be watching that instead of the road. The gauges are similar to the 300M and they're okay. Didn't quite hear the rumble of the v-8 though. The dual zone temp-never had it and don't require it. The powered steering wheel-neat. Tortoise shell trim is a nice touch.
Pick up and go is fast, slightly faster on the pick up than my Comp G but doesn't handle quite as well. Top end is slower though.
The interior, due to the exterior is boxy. I'm so use to the Trep's and GTP's curvature that the boxines takes getting use to. The steering wheel is thinner than my GTP and slippier. Also, the GTP doesn't have the rear seat armrest w/cupholders (05 will).
Well, I definitely do not regret my decision on the Comp G but I'd take a serious look at the 300C as my second choice, for now. I'm still leery about the rwd w/18" wheels and Continental tires.
For those of you who own one, or getting one, the cars are definitely nice.
Just my thoughts.
