    More dealer incompetence

I am so mad at my dealer right now that I don't ever want to see them again!

I took delivery of my mag. with 1000 demo miles on her. I noticed a small paint chip on the right rear door and a couple other little things. Pointed them out to the salesman and he said "no problem, we'll get it fixed when you bring the car in for park assist install"

When I got the car home I gave her a real washing and made a punch list of all imperfections. I only pointed out the 5 most important ones to the salesman figuring the others would all be there eventually anyway just from normal wear and tear.

    1) Chip on rear passenger door
    2) Scrape on edge of driver's door near the bottom
    3) Small gouge on rear bumper from careless removal of "something" from the rear of the car
    4) Stains in the driver's side wheel well storage area
    5) chip in windshield (small "pit" looking on far pass. side)

Well....... Yesterday was park assist day.

I picked up the car after hours and my salesman was out.
none of the delivery issues were taken care of. The 3 chips were still there as was the stain in the driver's side wheel well storage area. Their idea of fixing the paint issues was to drop a can of touch-up paint in the envelope when I went to pick up the car!

The park assist sensors are not flush with the car, they are all pointing differnt directions about 5-10 degrees away from what they should be.

the stuff in my back was all moved around and not where I left it and the rear area cover was sitting in the backseat!

To top it all off there was bird crap on the car as well as mechanic's hand prints all over the place. They didn't even bother washing my car before pick up.

Now I have to call my salesman and explain why this is totally unacceptable.

    ARGGGGGGHHHHHHHH..........................

AND They never heard of the windshield popping TSB and couldn't recreate the sound. It happened 3 times within 2 miles of the dealer when I picked the car up.

How many dealers does it take to screw up a lot of peoples day?
    ONE!
I swear!! I am going to buy my Charger through a broker and I will get every single manula and tool that I can so I only have to bring it to the dealership when I absolutely GOTTA.
This treatment that you have gotten is incredibly bad.
What is this clip joint's name?
Hey!! lets all call this place and politley cheer on better treatment of Dan!!

...and can you get a manula for a Magnum or are they just for Chargers?

dantodd: That sucks on the dealership. I am going to buy my Charger from the dealership where I have bought the last 2 cars from and I can only hope the service department dipsticks have improved. First sign of any potential problems and they are not only gonna hear about it but my salesman is gonna hear about it and I might see if I can complain to the owner. If they don't fix it and make things better they will have officially lost my business for good because there is no reason for the BS they do in the shop. I know they are under the gun for time but geez I haven't heard this many problems from other car company dealerships like say GM or Found On Road Dead. I bet money I could do a better quality job if I had all the tools, FSM, parts, and the time to do it.

Really Rev., charger is no way to go! i admit; it has magnificent mug, but hind quarters..pheee! both charger and 300 seem to be not finished in the rear section.
all 3 of LX sibs are clearly coming from "Super 8", but only magnum is a finished project. only thing better about charger is a front 10 in. yes, it may have more "deus" in its "machina", but its only a software. if you really have to have more spirit, go for a SRT8. don't abandon the only, true sport-rally family car.
